Really enjoyed tonight's race, it was a little tough un. After a short road start things got interesting once we turned off down the bridleway and descended the steep rutted field, then it's a narrow path through the moorland all the way to the summit. The climb surprised me, it felt relentless but was worth the effort for the good heather covered run off. Care is needed once a rough track is encountered and before long we are climbing again, then it's a fast finish down to the pub. Many thanks to all involved and very well done to the first lady, she was a v60...how good is that?

Text-Book race last night - small but perfectly formed, friendly atmosphere and top-notch pub to hand
good to chat with Tindersticks, John4of5, Marvin etc
in contrast to the women's race being won by a V60, there were very few male vets in the top 20, maybe there are some decent youngsters coming through after all

I've just uploaded my race photos. Most of the in-race photos were a write-off because I'd zoomed to max without realising as I gripped the camera, so they were blurred close-ups of nothing.
