I think this race should have been renamed the Tour of Chunal, given the variety of incorrect routes taken during the course of the race.

Why on earth did I blindly follow someone the wrong way when I've been there so many dozens of times before? I think it was the Glossopdalers who were the worst in the end! Very sorry for John Hewitt leading most of the race then going the wrong way. He was really flying.

It was a nice route, with a great fast descent, pretty much whichever way you came down. Didn't like the ice-skating on my mudclaws at the end though.

They should have been DQ'd. Pennine wuz robbed! Only kidding. Heard some shouting from the road after we had missed the turn which turned out to be Des but I was determined not to lose sight of the leaders but if I had cut off sooner to get back on track I would have saved some time AND kept Mr Briggs behind me. Ouch. (That was me kicking myself). Great course though and great fun. Thanks Des.
