I'll say this quietly as it might well not occur...but I'm thinking I might look at some of the BOFRA stuff as I've never even attended one of those runs!!

A real fell runner will carry on, even though he is in last position, with no sight of the next runner & put all thoughts of self pity firmly to the back of his mind. He will thank the marshals when passing through checkpoints for their patience & will even manage some semblance of a sprint finish......
This BG round & the training therein is dedicated to the fond memory of Daz H - there is no such word as can't.
...and will arrive at Dale Head still with a big smile on his face (and well before the check-point closing time!)

A real fell runner will pass up a summer holiday to Italy with the wife and family with the excuse that "someone needs to look after the dog". However, the real reason is so said fell runner can spend a week in the Lakes so that amongst other things, he can do a recce of Dunnerdale and the Furness fells in advance of the LDMT.
