I have a couple of orienteering contacts but have found the answer in a friend who runs a print company. He has fancy laser printers for which there are more options. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I'm sure that they'll come in handy for other races. JH.

Harvey's have come out with a new product, Ultra Maps, very small in size compared to other maps but giving good coverage at 1:40000.

£9.95, waterproof, folds to about a phone size rectangle.

The Cairngorms one covers the Lairig Ghru:

Used a couple of them already and been great, much easier in use on the hill than the Mountain Maps they do on account of the very compact size.

I believe the next issue of Trail magazine will be giving one away as a free cover mount.

The memory map paper is just Tyvek, the stuff they make disposable suits, house and roof wrap out of. I've printed on Tyvek with an inkjet printer then crumpled it up and left it to soak in a glass of water for 10 mins - tear proof and waterproof straight off an inkjet printer. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tyvek-105-1...YCEGGHBFZ01YFH
