I'm suffering from Meralgia Paresthetica (soreness/numbness on the outer quad bought on by nerve impingement). Seems likely that this is due to an increase in running miles as I ramp up for Lakeland50. I have a tight IT band on that side which may be related.

Anyone have any experience with this - seems like the only option to relieve it would be to back off running for a while, but a recent 2 week taper for a race didn't seem to help much.
