    Question Evening races nr Manc soon?

    Are there any evening races coming up in the next couple of weeks near Manchester?

    The FRA have put the calander on line for people to tight to pay £12 and people still cant be bothered looking.

    Try the www.fellrunner.org.uk homepage for the fell calendar, www.ukresults.net is good for a road calendar and also you may find something on www.race-results.co.uk in terms of road.

    It's quite a fast course with a steep uphill start on the road and then across the moor in an out and back sort of loop finishing across and down a field on the other side of the road. Have done it twice and don't remember it being boggy, was the 1st fell race that I got in the prizes. Check the course record by Mr Lewis, amazing. Saw his name for the 1st time in a while in the Pilgrims Cross results.

    If you haven't already found this via the link provided by Witton Park there is a road race this coming Tuesday details of which are below.

    Tuesday 28 August, race starts at 7.00pm

    Littleborough Lions 5k Fun Run, Wheatsheaf Hotel, Littleborough, nr. Rochdale
    2007 entry fees: £3.00/£4.00; Juniors £2.50/£3.50 all +50p on night

    Having never done a Fell Race before, I assume that the usual clothing, compass etc. are required for this race?
