    Ambleside Clubs

I live near Tarn Hows and have been running 4-5 times a week since March. I have only run with one pal a couple of times but found it benificial.
Does anyone know of a club around Ambleside/ Coniston who I may be able to train with?
I usually run about 5-6 miles during the week. Iran 10 miles on the beach this weekend and it felt great. Is that to short a distance for club running?

My dogs are my main running partners and I think Im tireing them out!!

I run with Ambleside and they are a very friendly, informal club. At this time of year we meet on Tuesdays at different locations around the south lakes - there are usually between 15 and 25 of us out with people doing different distances and speeds. I can virtually guarantee you wont be at the back and even if you are people will wait and no-one will get arsey!!

A few people also meet on Sundays at 10am as well.

See the website for more info and maybe see you along soon!!

    Nice one.
I will give the clubsite a look up tonight. Might even see if I can escape for a couple of hours on Tuesday night.
    Cheers.

Next Tuesday is at the Travellers Rest on the A590 just outside Grasmere, 6.45. We all stop for a beer or two after.

Ambleside AC is truly a most pleasant and friendly club to belong to....
Why walk when you can run.

Depending on work finish time, I may come for a run on my way home. I checked the site out last night and its sounds spot on.
