    BGR Club 2017 Dinner

While new members get their invite to the dinner as they send in their ratification forms existing members have to wait.

    Until now!

You will find an application form to download here

Hope to see you all there.

The day before the British Relay. Is that a deliberate ploy to lessen the numbers?!

Still, it's only a three and a half hour drive the next morning with a hangover!

It's always the second Saturday in October. Usually it coincides with the Langdale race but on 1 in 7 (I think) times the Langdale is the week before.

Given the number of successes there's little chance of number reduction!

Hello everyone, this is a bit of a long shot but I thought I'd ask..!
I completed my BGR this summer (super happy!) and am really looking forward to the dinner in October. Unfortunately the Shap hotel is fully booked. I've been keeping an eye out for cancellations over the past few weeks but not seen anything.
If anyone has a room booked at the hotel but no longer needs it, I'd be super grateful if you could get in touch...I'd obviously cover all room costs/booking fee etc
Look forward to seeing everyone there!
    Thank you!

Beth - there's often quite a number kipping outside the hotel in cars and the like - it's what I did when I picked my certificate up. Depends if you don't mind roughing it of course!

Is there any camping in the grounds?

Thanks for the quick reply! I think there's a bit of rough ground you can pitch a tent on out the back, but not a formal camping area. We're hoping to go for a run in the day then head straight over to Shap...thought it might be a bit rude to turn up to the dinner still covered in mud!

We went for a run out with Hank of this parish on the day of our second dinner. More chance day of than day after in my experience

Totally forgot to get my A into G and was hoping to go this year as a good mate made it round and it's 10 years since I did. I've also moved house and not told Bob. So - are there any spaces left at the meal?
