Indeed a broken INOV-8 lace once made me fearful of losing my rightful category prize. Such trauma!
There are three reasons why Walsh, INOV-8 et al don't adopt the superb, superior Salomon system:
- embarrassment that they didn't invent it
- reluctance to pay Salomon a license fee, and
- reluctance to have to publicly acknowledge the Salomon patent on their packaging
