Waterproof jacket

I'm torn between investing in an OMM Kamleika jacket, Kamleika smock or a Higher State (Sportsshoes.com) jacket/smock

Any advice or experience with these?

My montane minimus has had it and I've not been very impressed with it.

I'm chuffed with my Kamleika smock. I found the zip on the jacket meant it didn't fit quite as well, but that's personal preference; material is the same. Comfortable to wear (more than the Minimus, IMO), which means it gets more use than just as a running jacket, and seems to perform better than my Inov8 "condom". If you're going to be at the XC in a couple of weeks you're welcome to have a look at it.

Also, OMM customer service (through Needlesports) was spot on; had a slight issue with some stitching which was immediately sorted out. 👍

Another vote for the OMM Kamleika smock. Had it for a couple of years now and have had no issues whatsoever with it. Kept me lovely and dry and warm throughout this year's torrential mountain trial.
I prefer the smock to the jacket as I think the full length zip is unnecessary and its easier to get on in a gale force wind. MrsS has the jacket (equally satisfied) and prefers it to the smock so just a matter of preference I guess.

Thanks guys. It would ultimately be a running, dog walking jacket and it does look more substantial.

I think the jacket has 2 waist pockets and the smock just the one on the chest so that may be relevant if dog walking!

I'll go for OMM Kamleika jacket. it stretch waterproof fabric for maximum freedom of movement everytime I run. the casual design is also nice
