Data from the petitions website on Thursday evening suggested 1.3m signatures were from people who said they were from the UK, 10,000 from France, nearly 6,000 from Spain and more than 4,000 from Germany, among others.

Stagger you do realise that something like 1.3 million U.K. citizens live in EU countries don’t you? You know, one of the brilliant advantages of being in the EU, free movement? 🤔

Something like 3/4 of a million in Spain isn’t it?

Ahh, registered UK national is allegedly 1/4 million.

The latest You Gov poll is predicting were there a second referendum today, 56% would vote remain vs 44% voting to leave the EU with no deal. Loads of other interesting stats included - have a look here https://d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.ne..._Results_w.pdf

    And yep I know, it’s just a poll 🙄

Mmmh. I recognise that opinions on this little matter are based on ignorance, bigotry, class hatred, xenophobia, vested interests, blind prejudice...and other nuances of people's behaviour, but I don't recall seeing a neat for/against table setting out the pros and cons of "the deal" and "no deal" anywhere to help my fevered brain.

I might have to change my newspaper.

Unfourtantly a question was asked and answered, nearly three years ago. If it was asked again, in order to give it credibility and put the issue to bed for a generation, some sort of super-majority would have to be required to overturn the previous vote. It would probably need to be something like 60/40.

Looking at the slimy, smirking leaders of the EU at this mornings photo call makes me even more convinced that we need to leave, preferably with No Deal.
