BoJo will walk the election now, with Corybn not prepared to do the same with the small remain parties.
It changes little. It's a gesture and/or a climb down.
Why go against Bill Cash? Steve Baker?
Even in somewhere like Rossendale which is a swing seat, would Jake Berry be under threat if the BXP party stood? I doubt it.
Mostly they would take seats from Labour there so you could argue that they would be better in Rossy and Darwen to stand from a Brexit supporters stand point.
But it's hard to judge.
What would help the Tories is if the BXP in the end focussed on just the (say) top 30 target seats, which are in the main seats that have never been Tory.
They can then maybe get 5-10 of them and maybe even the balance of power.

I think this will help the Tories, but it's unlikely to swing things in those very red areas. And it's a little more complicated in those areas where Labour are predicted a narrow margin, because the Brexit party will also take votes from the Tories.
Wouldn't it be perverse if the Brexit party split the leave vote and hand a seat or two to the Lib Dems?
One things is for certain: BoJo has done a good job of convincing the more ardent brexiteer voters that he really does want the UK to leave the EU, in a way that May never could. For me, that's what has essentially shot the Brexit Party's fox here.
The only difference between Bojo and May was Bojo was prepared to screw the DUP, which is the only good thing to come out of this sorry saga.
Well, well, well! What a difference a day makes to one's initial reaction. A public statement by Boris just in the nick of time. Clearly a tacit agreement between Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson. Does that mean we can choose whether we'd like to buy chlorinated chicken in a years time? Sounds finger licking good.
Don’t remainers just love inventing reasons for brexit voters out of thin air. Their failure to see what is actually there is the reason they vote remain.
Tell me...all you EU lovers, why is it ALL the remain parties labour, libdems , SNP etc have spending plans which completely breach EU rules at over 3% deficit on debt gdp over 60, so would be vetoed by Brussels! None of the remainers I speak to seem to understand the EU they claim to love, not least a eurozone that is imploding as we speak.

a) provide the EU rules about this?
b) relate the spending plans to future GDP projections?
....it's all downhill from here.
Yeah, yeah, . . . But none of this addresses the issue: a bad deal with the USA would be worse for this country than anything that EU membership has imposed on us.
I found it really chilling when Mike Pence said, "The minute the UK is out of the EU, the US is in". They clearly see us as a soft touch, who will be desperate to sign up for anything.
