Stourbridge Stagger completed this morning. Pretty much all mud frozen solid apart the deepest sections.

It was like a different race! One muddy climb. I enjoyed it. Lots of fast running but had to be careful with the ankles on the frozen ruts. Pleased with my 5th on aging legs! Presentation a bit random.

5th is an impressive result, sir. Well done.

I missed the presentation as I was getting changed. What was the random element?

Cheers. Basically numerous category winners that were read out were wrong. Despite all the results being computerised!

I'm not insinuating anything but it was a new RO this year.... 🙄
Though it was otherwise as smooth as usual. Marshals were great especially on the road crossings.

This is getting ridiculous. It's February, and the footpaths are in the condition you would expect in late Spring. Although if the weather follows the pattern of 2012, by May they will be in the condition expected in February.

Same in Worcestershire. What mud we had earlier in the month is now either dry or easily passable. Shoes didn't even need a wash after Thursday night's head-torcher.

I'm just on my way out to play in it.
