All frozen solid this morning so had a remarkably mud free run today if a tad chilly and icy in places.

Wheezing, I have black Running Bear socks too. Yiannis used to have (and might well still have) wonderful chocolate brown ones! iirc both Stef and I wore RBs on our wedding day. Stef’s were sky blue, borrowed from me
Same here: went out at 8:30am with thermometer showing -3C. Had to be careful on frozen rutted ground. Went through the ice cover just once, so came back with one white sock and one brown sock!Originally Posted by PeteS

The going along the canal on Sunday was very muddy. Cross Country this weekend could be interesting.

My wife described the towpath behind our house as being one big puddleTry using the towpath.
In 30 years that I have lived in Loughborough, I can't remember the paths that I run on ever having as much mud and standing water as now. Still, it feels great to be out running after two and a half weeks off with a calf strain.
