I think it was until you posted that, Ian! Googling "Peak Dig Deep" turns up nothing. Of course it will shortly turn up your post & mine, but that won't give us much more to go on

But... you'd have thought someone would have sobered up enough from last night's Runfurther party to let us know... Must have been a particularly good do.

Great do and fantastic to know it will continue in good hands.
Next year - few changes, more changes planned for 2014 I believe

    2013
W Hike, Shire and spires, Osmotherly, LT Bradwell
    calderdale, Brecon 40, Speyside, HP40
Hardmoors 55, Fellman, Wye on way, RR

no mention of peak dig peat

a couple of new sponsors in too.

Just cross that I have arranged a DoE camp on Hardmoors day!! (oh it is iin reverse this year)

It was a good do Andy. Sleptin van with wind and rain rocking us like babies. Had hoped to run some of the edges but woke with a refreshed cold, headache and no sign of better weather so drove home, with some Xmas shopping on way, hen at Preston it was sunny so I leapt out (once we had left the motorway) and ran home

Thanks Karen. 23 miles LDWA event yesterday with the dog. He's OK but I've got a bit of a hip problem - I must be getting old. Tried searching the forum for "hip" & "hip injury" looking for fellow sufferers, but the search engine isn't hip to 3-letter searches. I know when I'm beaten; it's clearly time to call it a day. Until the Tour de Helvellyn that is.

I'll start filling in those dates in my diary then, & fit the club series & family holidays round them. As far as I can get away with it that is.

    Re: 2013 Uk Ultra Champs

Looks like I might be able to have a proper go at this in 2013. I hoped to in 2011 but I couldn't manage it alongside my Joss Naylor preparation, & I knew better this year, & gave the BG priority. So here goes in 2013:

Haworth Hobble - Looking forward to this anyway after having done it for the last 2 years. A great race.
Shires & Spires - In Northamptonshire, wherever that is, but I suspect it of being in the deep south. And it's the day after we travel back from a week on Skye. So why not...
Osmotherley Phoenix - clashes with the SLMM, so the North Yorks Moors will have to manage without me.
Long Tour of Bradwell - on my daughter's birthday, so I'll have to tread carefully on this one.
Calderdale Hike - let me at it. Can't beat Calderdale for interesting running.
Speyside Ultra - I couldn't find the 2013 date on the website, but I guess it's probably 31 August. Not sure I can do this as I'm doing another ultra the following weekend.
High Peak 40 - clashes with the Open to Offas LDWA ultra, which I'll probably do instead as it's a better route in my opinion.
Hardmoors 55 - At the moment I can't find a good excuse not to do it, so I'd better get an entry in. I take it this is the 23 March event?
Fellsman - clashes with the Highlander MM, which I've already entered.
Wye One Way - I'm up for that, even though it's abroad.
Round Rotherham - OH NO NOT AGAIN. I suppose I'll have to then. I'll try not to lose the will to live 3/4 of the way round this time...

I'll definitely be doing the Haworth Hobble which will be my short counter for the Runfurther series, along with Calderdale Hike, The Fellsman and one other - possibly Osmotherley or Rotherham.

I'm also considering an entry to the Saunders Klets - but it clashes with the Osmotherley, which I also really enjoy.

    Come on, sway me!
