    What's the LMH?

I'm probably going to do this one. Again it will be a bit of hike up from my normal stuff but I reckon I'll survive (with a torch and so long as I don't get injured before then..)

LMH is the Long Mynd Hike. It is 50 miles, part of the Montrail series and will help you get an entry into the Tour du Mont Blanc race in 2008.

It's a great race. Much more than half of it is off road, but there are some road sections too. One of the great things about it is that it will get you into a very beautiful part of the world that most people don't really know about.

I've got entry 439 and the entry is limited to 450 - it suggests that anyone who wants to do it should get an entry in ASAP. They were over-subscribed last year.

How much ascent is there on this run?

Im interested in having a long day out but dont want to treat it as a race and bust a gut and need weeks of recovery afterwards.

Is there food stops for runners and can I have a good few minutes at each. Without the worry of being timed out.
