    Bloody hell Rossetto did well.
What a tremendous effort on our roads.

Great entertainment today as good as any classic day race.

Grand day at home. Watched caravan and race come through. Had tea, biscuits and cakes with neighbours. Stef, ‘home-made biscuits?’. Neighbour, ‘no, Wild’s’. Spent a fair bit of the rest of the day in the garden

Giro has a couple of dollies and TdY has a couple of fish & chip lasses.

    Quality.
Flat cap, whipets and racing pigeons next year.

    Next year, Trev?

I've been wearing my flat cap this weekend, to stop the pate from burning.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Can someone explain to me, why the obsession with French terms for a British bike race? Why is The Tour of Yorkshire called the Tour de Yorkshire? Why is every climb called Cote de Wherever. Do we not have enough varied descriptions of our own ie Hill, Bank, Rise, Knoll, Scar, Pass or Bar without having to precede each climb with a place where a dove lives! Also the television graphics show "Tete de la Course" instead of Head of the Race. The Italians do not put up with this pretentious bollocks on the Giro so why should we?

Because we Yorkshire folks like it.

Best crowds in the world for a cycle race.

    I completely agree with this....

When the Tour De France first came to Yorkshire a few years ago, I came up to Harrogate to watch the stage finish. Full of people shouting " Allez allez allez" at the pack as they went through....
