Hopefully mate. A shame, although understandable with the time of year...Scotland followed by Italy for me the day after!

I've had a few messages re: is the race still on due to it's proximity to Winter Hill...

...Yes the race is still on, the race route, registration etc is not at all affected by the fires.

There has been a road closure on a small section of Belmont Road which may affect runners coming over from Bolton, but that is the only knock-on effect thus far...

    See you all on Thursday

Results from last Thursday are here.

The record attendance was smashed - it previously sat at 99 from 2017, we had 143 runners this year.

Josh Boyle & Rob Hope both under the previous course record - as were the first three ladies; Katie Walshaw, Louisa Powell-Smith and Amy Freeman.

£1,000 raised in total (this includes 100% of entry fee's and the raffle) - all this will go to the East Lancashire Hospice this year.

A huge thanks again to all runners and my fantastic team of helpers.

Just a heads up for this years race...

It's this Thursday, 4th July, 7:15pm start as usual.

£5 entry, with all the fee going to East Lancs Hospice and also to a Diabetes charity this year.

Parking this year will be in a field, which race marshals will direct you to. PLEASE only park here and nowhere else. If this is a problem, come and speak to me, I'll be in an orange hi-vis vest.

    There will be tons of prizes and the usual raffle - prizes for the following;

    1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female.

    1st in each of the following; U23, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70 & V75 (if any!)

The annual pewter tankard for the 1st V50 again.

124 runners tonight, many thanks to all who turned out.

New course record set by Ribble Valley Harriers star Michael Cayton, unbelievable run!

Hundreds raised for the East Lancashire Hospice so a massive thank you from myself and my family.

Results are uploaded on the the Fell Runners UK Facebook page, the official race Facebook page and will be sent to Brett for uploading to the FRA site, tomorrow morning.

Thanks Calvin, a well organised race as usual. I've looked at my runs on this route. 3 races, 3 years and only 17 seconds between them. So I might be slow, but I'm not getting slower

Thanks mate, good to see you, gutted I couldn't get down for the relays at Witton last week.

That's fantastic consistency mate, ha ha. Keep it up, hopefully see you again soon.
