Yes all the best with training and planning Phil. My Round is this weekend and I'm also getting too old for this kind of fun!

All the very best. I'm down to do leg 3 this Sunday so if I find you in a ditch... I'll pick you up. BUT sure that won't be necessary !

Phil, hope the foot gets back to 100%. Please drop me a note when you feel suitably fit and recovered and we'll get out there.

    Hello guys.

I am hoping to have a go next year myself. Its been a long time coming with a couple of attempts being put off due to a couple of reasons. 2014 i was planning on having a go but then discoverd my wife was pregnant with our second so that was that .
2016 i spent the summer on the route with a view to have an attemt 2017. Unfortuanlty in September 2016 i started with Peroneal tendonitis which has been with me since. The rehab is going well and im back running . It maybe optimistic as the ankle only feels 95% to the good and still getting twinges but im hoping things will be ok. I will be 42 next year so it feels only right that i should have a go. If all goes to plan with my training, 24 hrs will still be a very optimistic target but i need to give it a crack before the zimmer comes out!

Anyway ,i live in Mersyside so only a short trip up the M6. I'd be happy to join in on any recce days if the pace permits .

    Regards

    Karl
