He started doing jujitsu now. He just wanted to do it. the teacher was impressed at his running speed and asked wht sports he does.........fell running i tentitively said.
He told me neve to take him for granted and not to push im too hard. the thing is i dont push him he pushes me to keep fit. im thinkin of doing the jujitsu classess to defend myelffrom his practice bouts on me!!
the astro turf s hoes sound like a good idea.

Got a pair of ASTRO TURF boots for my 4 yr old, only about a tenner in the JJB sale. Quite good for footy too.Though he won his first race in beach shoes. He chose not to overtake the 8 year old (same race, diff age group) cos it would cause issues in the playground!.
Just to add (as a proud dad) that my eldest came second in the Burnsall under 7 race this year and won a book. My wife ran in the ladies race and, although not last, was at the "tail end" shall we say. She got a bottle of champagne.
I, on the otherhand, ran Burnsall, came mid field and didn't get owt.
Still, my son was tickled pink. After the races, he made me take him up and down the fell a few times (only half way though) and he was leading all the way. Even pinned my number onto his T-shirt.
