    Ring of Steall

    Preview on Irunfar: https://www.irunfar.com/2018/09/2018...e-preview.html

A few Brits name-checked including Finlay Wild, Sam Tosh, Ricky Lightfoot and Hector Haines. Would be great if one of them could win it.

    Any British ladies in contention?

Ridiculously stacked field in the men's race. KJ versus Finaly Wild on its own would be enough, but there's plenty of other contenders in there too. Vic Wilkinson up against some top names in the women's. Weather forecast looks suitably poor.

Just had a look at the race website.

Obviously a tough race. Seems a little bit of a convoluted route, starting on the other side of the ring of Steall, doing half the ridge, then down to the valley and doing the next half. I guess unavoidable due to the start location and the need to get the ascent in.

Have to say that the Ben Nevis Ultra looks interesting, by the same organiser on the Friday. One for the 'possible' list for next year.

Disappointing not to see the great man (or Killian) at Beefy’s Nab yesterday. 3pm Sunday start - perfect opportunity for a ‘wick 😉
