There's a bit on the Wales news (BBC internet news) about the WFRA not permitting GPS navigation during fell races - to which I agree.
But a comment from a Paul Dodd of Chepstow harriers is not so keen and commented:
"Fell running seems to be the reserve of traditionalists - to them, a big part of fell running is the dark art of navigating with a compass and a map," he said".
So there you have it, use of a map and compass are now "dark arts", made me chuckle as a start to 2019.
