    Offside Pat. If you kick the ball forward and a player is ahead of you (common for backs when defending) it’s illegal (rugby has laws, not rules) for the players ahead of you to chase the kick. The kicker as he runs beyond them plays them back onside. You’ll sometimes see a player stand in the arms aloft ‘not me guv’ position attempting to show he’s not interfering with play while waiting to be played back onside

    My my. There are some things I have yet to experience or understand: morris dancing, sodomy...and rugby and now in my declining years I fear I may have left it too late.

    To my shame my, first year of university, son is now doing sword dancing, which to me looks like morris dancing with....

    No, the kayaker is my 14 yr old.
    Josh is doing Aeronautnial engineering at the University of Nottingham.
