As I said on the Brexit thread , this is a second referendum by proxy. Clever politicians!🤣🙄

Tricky to make sense of the results thought. How do you determine what is a leave/remain vote
Conservative 80% leave 20% Remain?
Labour Party 30% leave 70% Remain?
Scottish National Party 20% leave 80% Remain?
Liberal Democrats 100% Remain
Change UK 100% Remain
Democratic Unionist Party 90% leave 10% Remain?
Sinn Féin not sure if even they know
Plaid Cymru 30% leave 70% Remain?
Brexit Party 100% leave
UK Independence Party 100% leave
Social Democratic and Labour Party 30% leave 70% Remain?
Ulster Unionist Party 30% leave 70% Remain?
Alliance Party of Northern Ireland 30% leave 70% Remain?
Leaving aside the Celtic nations parties (which eliminates half of those on Patrick's list), the way I see it is:
Leavers vote Brexit party (since UKIP has lost all credibility).
Remainers have the choice of LibDem, Green or ChangeUK (although the latter hasn't yet gained much credibility).
Don't Knows have the choice of Labour or Conservative.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

For once I will use the judgement of that political sage Vince Cable.
After the recent local elections he claimed that there was a clear mandate for Remain as the parties advocating Brexit had suffered losses.
Now taking that and applying it to the EU Elections based on the latest YouGov figures out yesterday.
Brexit Party 35%, UKIP 3%, That's 38% for a No Deal Leave.
Tory 9%, Lab 15% for a deal Brexit
LibDem 16%, Green 10%, CringeUK 5% for Remain.
7% others including NATS which is probably 2% for a Brexit and 5% for a Remain.
SO that reads around Leave 64 / Remain 36 based on Vince's theory.

I received two election leaflets through the post on Saturday, both addressed personally to me, from each of the two racist parties - UKIP and Brexit. I'm not a racist, so I certainly won't be voting for them.
I'm not a racist either. But if my local MP does not support Brexit I will vote Brexit party. Agree, UKIP is taken over by right wing fascists but Brexit party offers a voice to those who voted to leave EU and have been let down by their local MP.

I got a leaflet from Tommy Robinson. He seems a very nice young man with lots of inoffensive policies. I asked my 15-year-old daughter (who understands a bit about politics and hadn't heard of Tommy Robinson) where she thought he sat on the political spectrum. She said based on this leaflet maybe a little left wing, but largely in the middle.
It shows how useful leaflets are for determining suitability for being elected.
I've said before that the far right and the far left have much in common. Certainly when Corbyn's comments about British Zionists not understanding English irony came out last year he received enthusiastic support from former BNP leader Nick Griffin and the leader of the Klu Klux Klan. In fairness I don't think Tommy Robinson hates Jews as much as Jermey Corbyn does, it's Muslims he has a problem with.
