It is of interest to anyone who is interested in the lake district, which includes many fell runners. It is general chat, not "fell running, general". I love the views out towards buttermere do you?

Lanthwaite How by Lanthwaite Green, good news that it should be protected now, bad news it will be promoted like the bluebells at Rannerdale and will be opened up.

Just a pity the NT is run like a communist dictatorship. Their policies are too strict. I once emailed them to ask whether I could drive my Range Rover up to the top of Blisco Pike. (I think it was) I said I wasn't going to go all the way up just most of the way. They sent a very snotty email back saying they couldn't allow it. They are a cartel of backwards-looking land grabbers. Need to get with the times.
