Wonder why the BBC have been so lenient on Joe Brand compared to Danny Baker.

I barely watch any tv anyway, and I’ll probably not renew my licence fee when the time comes round. All I watch is old sitcoms which can be found online, and sports events the same.

Of course Brand was I believe a guest on a show, and not an employee.... but it still stinks of hypocrisy.

I think there has been an over reaction to Jo Brand's comments. She is a comedian and it was obviously a joke. The police enquiry is absurd in my opinion.

But I agree with those who say it is double standards from the BBC given the way they treated Danny Baker. If they're going to apply such a literal (stupid) interpretation with one then why not with the other?

It is the double standards that's the problem. Had she been a right-wing comic making that joke about David Lammy, it would probably have finished her TV and radio career.
