The BBC has excelled itself and ticked some boxes this morning by promoting the ginger, gay and Welsh weather presenter Owain Wyn Evans to its Breakfast programme. He also wears a brooch!

However, most importantly, they also tick the box in that he is a very good presenter, which is not usually the case.

He also had a guest spot this week on that rather annoying 'farming' program from somewhere over Barnsley way.

I want her as PM. Funnily enough I asked her to stand in the next leadership contest and said I hoped that it would be sooner rather than later

Interestingly, while the BBC chose to highlight, quite rightly, how a relatively small British holiday company, Pontins, was accused of discriminating against families with certain Irish names

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56246848

they somehow completely overlooked how the multinational mega-giant Coca Cola promoted racist policies by instructing their staff to be "less white".

Imagining the outcry if Coca Cola had tried to instruct their BAME staff into being 'less black"!

It's not that the BBC haven't had Coca Cola in their sights but, oddly, not the 'be less white" story that's elsewhere has attracted global attention.

    No, it's not here either...ummm

The BBC has yet to decide if it is the Cabinet, running the country or the Royal Family, ruling the country or should be sitting at the right hand of someone even more exalted, watching over all mankind.

Not that surprising really as it's a bit of a none story jumped on by the right to fuel their anti-woke crusade. A third party cobbled together bits of an academic's work to create some supposed diversity training that was made available to Coca Cola employees. Someone dropped a bollock in not checking over the material as there was obviously some pretty crude, inflammatory language in there. but the whole 'Coca Cola is racist and anti-white' thing is nonsense. Predictable that it's more likely to be covered by the Sun than the BBC, and the likes of your man Micah Curtis there who it appears specialises in woke resistance.

A short report on the BBC today about the USA restricting the export of items to India crucial for the production of Covid 19 vaccines.

And guess what? President Biden's name not even mentioned.

Imagine if this had happened under Trump. They would have given him a right slagging.

The BBC would not recognise impartiality even if a 747 full of it landed on Broadcasting House!

If Trump had suggested locking up the entire country's adult male population in a curfew after 6 pm each day we'd never have heard the end of it on the BBC.

However, when Baroness Jones (Green Party: House of Lords) made the same proposal this week we heard hardly a peep from the BBC (despite other world news outlets highlighting it).

I see Mark Drakeford temporarily also thought it was a good idea, until his advisers presumably pointed out to him that he was a bloke too, after which he hastily back tracked. You had a close call there Llani, Wheeze and Moley!

A theme that my wife has been reciting a lot recently is that our licence fee is paying for other people to be filmed enjoying themselves. Travel programmes are particularly in her sights, but also gastronomy.

Tonight she just had to switch channels when she saw Nadiya Hussain and Fred Sirieix stuffing themselves in Betty's tearoom in Harrogate. I mean, people enjoying themselves in Yorkshire, whatever next?!

Former BBC journalist Robin Aitken (author of "Can We Trust the BBC?") interviews Rod Liddle, his former boss on BBC Radio 4's "Today" programme, about BBC bias and the left's gradual takeover of the national broadcaster -- once a conservative institution -- over several decades. Ideas of how to resolve the problems with the BEEB too.
