Showing your age with that GeoffB. It is not an argument, it is contradiction!

I made a comment a few weeks ago on a friends facebook, I slept on it, and then removed it the day after as I thought I'd just crossed the line a little.

The atmosphere today is that one tweet, a few words in an article (often taken out of context) can finish a career.

Last night we saw an MP remove a protestor from somewhere they shouldn't have been. The fuss that has arisen is incredible.
Had security been on their toes, they would have used the same technique to remove that same protestor.

He has been described as grabbing her by the throat, but he had his hand on the back of the neck and as he pushed her out you could see the smirk on here face, so he clearly wasn't exerting an force, other than the pushing force.

She could have been egging, chucking a milkshake, but she could also have been about to mace spray or acid attack. In the current climate who knows?

Had she been found with something more serious on her, he would have been hailed a hero for putting his own safety on the line.

The climate that has meant we can only have saints in public office has become unbearable. If having someone such as Johnson at the top alleviates it that is a good thing.
Agree with you there Witton. Newsnight were making a big fuss over her ejection. My view is she forced her way in and she was forced out. As Mr Kay would say......simples.

Well Boris starts his new job today.

He will definitely better than his predecessor.

Will he delivery on his promises?

Give the opposition a verbal duffing in the house (unfair contest!)
Pour honey on the Forgotten North
Sweet talk the other components of the Union
Remove the reason for the existence of the 3rd most popular party

Surely he has to call a GE on Nov 1st with a good chance of restoring a realistic majority?

Arr but who is the 3rd party now?

    Regionally it depends.
Scots have a different view than the North.
Then we have Wales and the South West.
    Midlands aren't sure.
And the capital and surrounding counties only care about the South anyway.

Tories or Libs are usually 3rd
Farage and labour round my area

With the Tories going for a "hard Brexit" and Labour showing themselves totally incompetent, maybe it's time for a LibDem revival. There are 16 million Remain voters out there! The Brecon & Radnor by-election will be interesting.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

But Swinson has been shown to be all bluster. She campaigned for leadership on Stop Brexit but her first question to PM was to ask that all EU residents in UK would have recognised status. I.E. she was behaving as if Brexit was a given rather than going for the BJ jugular. Pathetic! Maybe we will learn more at next PM question Time??
