No shame there at all. Most modern purveyors of "serious " music will often pay homage to groups like Tull, Heep, Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis et al who set the template for complex, challenging repertoires that flew in the face of commercialism.

I’ve just got back from a run and demolished a full pack of Party rings, (those ring jobbies with the icing top) 20 in total, 5 stacks of 4 done while my tea brewed

I have my own youtube playlist I only put on when no one else is in the house.
Just to give you a taste
    ACDC - Touch to Much
    Iron Maiden - Sanctuary
Peter Green - Man of the World
    Crosstown Traffic - Hendrix
Gigantic - Pixies (quite modern for me )

I'm often accused of living in the past by my kids and Mrs WP.

All good stuff! After years of being told to stop playing that old rubbish Im now hearing it blasting from my 18 year old sons bedroom.

Peter Green is sublime, I’ve just had the 7” of Heavy Heart on my turntable followed by Strong Arm of the Law by Saxon of all things!!
