Just done the Padfield Plum Fair Fell Race instead of the coal race, brilliant.

Excellent turn out for the coal race.

    1. Dan Brockington 30.7secs (new course record by 2 secs)
    2. Phil Hinchcliffe 33.6secs
    3. Rob Edwards 36.3secs

Winning team was "Where's harry?" Dan Brockington, Rob Edwards and Ben Naylor (6th 37.9secs)

Both Harry and the Doctor were notable absentee's maybe they are both waiting for the world championships in Gawthorpe on Easter Monday?
More excuses than a race start line!

One day, a thread on this forum will stay on topic!... or will that make it boring?...

Anyway, I'll be at Lantern Pike racing. Shouldn't be really doing it because my knees are a bit dodgy at the moment. But I have to do it now I've paid £5 for this Hayfield series tee-shirt!

I don't need to do it as I've done the first 6 races.
But I'll come along just to give your dodgy knees a real test!

That's not fair. I only overtake you on the downhills, and I need to take it easy.

You will enjoy the long tarmac descent then?

Won't suit Chris. Too much tarmac. I think you should do it.

    COME ON JJ & Co’,
HAVE A GO, IT'S GOING TO BE A VERY VERY SPECIAL EVENT THIS YEAR......!!!!!
THE OLDEST FRA RECORD IN THE BOOK.....
& JUNIOR ENGLISH CHAMPS' SAME DAY!!!!!

Ricky Wilde's (amazing) Record of 29.12..... has been hanging in the upper stratosphere since Sept 1977, making it the oldest record in the FRA Calendar…. and Carol Haigh’s amazing women’s record of 34.54 (1984) takes the biscuit too…

It will take two very special run’s to beat them, and despite a few of the faster legs of either sex being on International Duty, there is a strong possibility it will happen this year…. Some of the other “big guns” will be there in force… and should the records be beaten there will be some rather special prizes!!!!!

And, as already noted by the usual suspects it’s also the culmination & prize-giving of the Hayfield Fell Running Championships…….this & much more at www.cs.man.ac.uk/~temples/hc/

    See you there!
