I’ve just finished my penultimate cycle of chemotherapy (11 fortnightly treatments out of 12)

For anyone who doesn’t know I was diagnosed in December with a primary tumour in my rectum, plus several small metastasis in my liver. They were removed successfully in two operations in January and February - the chemotherapy is an adjunct, or as the surgeons say, a ‘mopping up’ exercise

I’ve got a CT scan in November and if it’s clear (it should be because I had a clear scan back in July) it’s a case I think of ‘go away and have a good life’

Since mid-April (six weeks or so after my second and more invasive operation) I’ve done six fell races and 25 Parkruns so there’s life in the old Tup yet 👍🏻
