    That's an interesting take.

I saw it as wanting the perks without the hassle, and he's not been given the option by QE2. As for sticking two fingers up at the press, I think that's also a pick 'n mix case of when it suits them. It was being put about last week that if they don't get what they want, they'd run of to the US and arrange a tell all set piece interview.

But like you, I wish them well, but having wanted out, I hope they do so with good grace.

Leave our Prince alone, he'll be fine, like a roaring 🐉 in no time.

Though I did ponder that the minor royals, like 6th in line to the throne, might be thinking "Holy sh*t I'm in with a chance now, I never saw that coming".

Self-isolating in his second home (or is it his third, or fourth, or . . . ?) in the Scottish Highlands -- just like we have all been told not to do.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

No doubt Stagger will be raising a glass this evening at the sacking of Prince Harry.

I think I'll join him and wish Harry and his pushy, grabbing, social climbing, self promoting and scheming missus a large dollop of Good Riddance.

Talking of newspapers, which obviously the dross known as the Daily Mail isn't, I do commend The Guardian on it's obituary of Johnny Rogan, indisputably the finest music biographer who has ever lived (and now died). His 2500 page biography of the Byrds is a mightier work than even War and Peace.

The other serious newspapers have not caught up yet - lamentable.

I don't read any daily newspaper as it happens. Am I missing something?
