    Huawei

I am really confused about the decision to allow Huawei to be involved in setting up our 5G network. Should I oppose it because I don't trust the Chinese, or should I support it because it has upset the Americans?

This is another situation where xenophobia will be manipulated for political advantage. The best solution would be for us to use our own industry to build these networks. Wonder if they exist?

I think the problem was we were looking for alternatives but there weren't any. The government concluded that if we want a 5G network now, we need to use some Chinese kit. We could wait of course...

Given how much business is done on smartphones (and how much faster 5G is than 4G), I suspect the potential benefit to the overall economy is a relatively easy number to calculate - as least to get a number to argue about.

I have no-G at my house. so while I won't benefit from the network, I'm also less likely to be cyber-invaded by the Chinese.

So far I've never had an issue with 4G speeds. Its just coverage that is poor. 5G coverage will be even more difficult to ensure. So why dont we sort out coverage first?? Why run before you can walk!!

It is not a subject I know in depth, but Nokia advertise 5G infrastructure.
Is it really just a one horse race?
