    I guess if you looked at previous 'results' and picked the time of a finisher exactly half way down, or halfway up the list (depending on whether you are of the 'half full' or 'half empty' mindset), you should have an average time.

    Or then again ..... you could add all the times together for say 10 years, divide by the number of finishers ...........etc. etc.

    Times vary year to year. I was 40 minutes faster this year than last when it was a hot day. Assuming good conditions, AND knowing the route, a decent time would be 4:15 - 4:45 in training. Anything under 4 on your own is very good going. Most would do it in between 4 and 5 hrs. Some take up to 6, some take barely over 3.

    i know the area quite well , could i do this with no navigational experience , just by following other people , im always a mid pack finisher .

    In Clag, I'd say no. It's not a popular race so you can be on your own for long sections. The main Nav section is Glyder Fawr to Pen Y Pass.
