9.28 miles, 3,540 feet, 2 hours 55 minutes: Wansfell Pike from 3 sides. Very overcast - it looked like it could rain anytime but it never did. T shirt rather than vest weather. Terrain dry, soft. Lots on the steps up to the Pike, and on the top, but I was on my own on 2 of the ascents.

8.3 miles, 1,014 feet, 1 hour 39 minutes: Ings to Kentmere and back. Sunshine and clouds, no wind. Terrain dry, becoming hard. Perfect vest weather. Not many seen on this route. With a dozen others from AAC.

15.65 miles, 4,584 feet, 4 hours 58 minutes: Ambleside - Rydal - Nab Scar - Alcock Tarn - Winterseeds - Grisedale Tarn - Cofa Pike - Fairfield, then the rest of the horseshoe c/w back to Ambleside. Overcast, cloud base at about 1,500 feet, intermittent very light drizzle, windy on top. Terrain damp and slippery. I was OK - just - in a t shirt, gloves, and tights. Not many on the fell, but town is busy with people and cars.

10.83 miles, 3,913 feet, 3 hours 44 minutes: Traveller's Rest - to Bracken Hause via those lovely zig zags - Gibson Knott - Calf Crag - Steel Fell - Steel End - Dunmail Raise - Seat Sandal - down the south ridge to Winterseeds. The cloud base was initially at about 600 feet; a lot of it cleared, but there wasn't much sun nor blue sky. A cool breeze on the tops. Terrain damp and slippery in places. I saw a pair of runners on Calf Crag but did not come across any other people whilst I was out.

9.23 miles, 4,214 feet, 2 hours 59 minutes: Wansfell Pike from 3 sides. Virtually constant drizzle/light rain, though not as bad as I had feared from the forecast. A strong wind at times, even down in the valley. Terrain damp and slippery. I wore full waterproof cover and gloves. I only saw about a dozen others on the fell.

Today was the first day since 21/4/21 that I did not wear my TrailFly Ultra G300 Max shoes - as it was so wet I wore a new pair of X-Talon 255s - superb grip on the race descent (twice) from Wansfell Pike. The reduced cushioning was obvious at first, as was the reduced drop, but once off tarmac it was not really an issue. Unless I am doing a route where grip is particularly important the TrailFlys will be my number 1 choice.

13.67 miles, 3,705 feet, 3 hours 54 minutes: Rothay Bridge - Under Loughrigg - Fox Ghyll - Loughrigg top - Elterwater - Swinescar Pike - Lang How - Silver How - Loughrigg top - Fishgarths Wood - Clappersgate - Rothay Bridge. Sunshine and clouds, no rain, a cool breeze on the tops - perfect vest or T shirt weather. Terrain dry and soft. Not that many about, surprisingly. Back to my trailFlys for this run. Unfortunately the bracken is now blocking many of the good paths.

11.07 miles, 3,985 feet, 3 hours 37 minutes: Traveller's Rest - Bracken Hause - Gibson Knott - Calf Crag - Steel Fell - Steel End - Dunmail Raise - Raise Beck - Seat Sandal - Winterseeds. Sunshine and clouds, no rain, a cool breeze on the tops, warm in the valleys: T shirt weather. Terrain dry and soft. Saw a couple of other runners. Not many on the fells, yet the parking areas were overflowing.

10.03 miles, 2,691 feet, 2 hours 50 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Sunshine and clouds, very warm, a cool breeze at times, but not often enough. Terrain dry and firm. Quite a few on the main paths, and unfortunately a lot of the rarely used paths are now blocked by bracken.
