11.11 miles, 2,435 feet, 3 hours 36 minutes: Loughrigg trails, including down the race route to the road at High Close, down through Deerbolts Woods to Grasmere shore, and back up to the top via Loughrigg Terrace and the steps overlooking Grasmere. Misty/foggy at all levels. No sunshine, no blue sky, intermittent light drizzle, a moderate breeze from the south west. Terrain wet/saturated/slippery. Lots of walkers on the fell. Only 1 runner seen - in the valley.

10.26 miles, 3,006 feet, 3 hours 33 minutes: WansfellPike from 2 sides, ascending initially from Kelsick Scar, going along the ridge to the true top and Baystones, down to the upper part of Nanny Lane, then back up to the Pike. The anti-cyclonic gloom persists: overcast, with the cloud base at about 1,200 feet - hazy below this. No rain, no wind, no sun, no blue sky. Terrain damp/wet/saturated/slippery. No runners seen. There was a group of 16 walkers at the top of the Pike - apart from them I saw about a dozen others.
