Yes, we all know that 42 is the answer, but what is the question?

Well today it was "where is the forecast sunshine and what am I doing out in a freezing wind?"
"...as dry as the Atacama desert".

An easy 9.5 miles, a few feet ascent (hills not very high around here) with the dogs this morning. Usual route through woods and fields, along footpaths, and a small amount of road. Saw 2 dog walkers and 2 runners. Today's bonus - for the first time since October I came back without shoes and legs caked in mud, and better still the dogs didn't need hosing down; I think the rain finally stopped a couple of weeks ago.

Todays PDE was an evening 6 miles run round Lathkill Dale. Surprisingly warm and the HH Lifa base layer under my T shirt was definitely not needed. Saw a heron, 2 dippers, assorted ducks and a swan sat on her nest.

No humans or bats this evening!
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

Riding through a deserted Burnsall it occurred to me that with pubs/cafes/car parks/gift shops & etc closed - why would anyone wish to visit in a car?
That old boy is inappropriate following the Fell runner's guide lines

The time spent out doors is not fair or savey.

As a person in your position I would expect better.
