Master
MikeT is absolutely destroying all-comers in this thread...!
I'm waiting to see if Kong Running will put any of the Winter Series events on as MapRun Races.... in particular Stile-Outerside-Barrow.... which could tempt me back to the Lakes for a final time before the end of the year.

11.84 miles, 3,875 feet, 3 hours 30 minutes: Red Screes and Wansfell Pike. Lovely conditions: sunny, cooling breeze on the tops, not too slippery. Quite a few on the fells; roads in town are heaving.

7.39 miles, 827 feet, 73 minutes: Skelwith Fold/Bridge - Drunken Duck loop. Drizzle throughout, but no wind and not cold. Only came across a dozen or so walkers. Wore a really comfortable old pair of X-talons - almost studless, but all on tarmac so no problems with traction.

8.6 miles, 3,146 feet, 2 hours 27 minutes: Wansfell Ridge. Very strong cold wind from the north on the tops - managed in a vest but only just. Mainly overcast, occasional sunshine, short spells of very light drizzle. Quite a few about on the fell and on the roads.

12.1 miles, 3,527 feet, 3 hours 13 minutes: Low Sweden Bridge - Low/High Pike - Dove Crag - Scandale - Red Screes - Roundhill Farm. Sunny, with the occasional cloudy interlude; cold wind still. Saw 6 other runners, mainly on their own - one pair. A few walkers, but not many. Town busy.

13.57 miles, 3,360 feet, 3 hours 43 minutes: Fairfield Horseshoe clockwise. Sunny, but that cold wind persists. Plenty about. Told off for the second time this week by the Nook End farmer for not running on the path - distancing not an excuse it would seem.

8.51 miles, 2,477 feet, 2 hours 21 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Overcast, but no wind, so not cold. Terrain mainly dry. Not many about. I expect a busy weekend given the extensive nearby Tier 3 areas.

13.32 miles, 3,415 feet, 3 hours 40 minutes: Fairfield Horseshoe clockwise. In mist above 1,500 feet; very cold wind - waterproof needed. Rocks very slippery, terrain otherwise quite good. Plenty about, but not as many as I expected.
