9.5 miles, 3,295 feet, 2 hours 55 minutes: Wansfell Pike, going up it from 3 sides. Sunshine and clouds; a very cold breeze at times, but I was OK - just - in a vest. Terrain dry and soft. Only saw 4 others on the fell.

8.47 miles, 2,263 feet, 2 hours 11 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Overcast, cloud base at about 1,500 feet. Virtually constant light drizzle, and a cold wind at times. Damp terrain, but only the rocks were slippery. Nobody else on the fell, about a dozen on the minor roads. For what it is worth my Garmin says my VO2 max has gone up to 43.
10.04 miles, 2,614 feet, 2 hours 28 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Sunshine, clouds, and a very cold wind. Terrain dry. About 15 on the fell, and a similar number on the minor roads. I was repeating/memorising a nice new grassy route.
8.67 miles, 3,319 feet, 2 hours 44 minutes: Wansfell Pike from 3 sides. Overcast, cloud base at about 1,800 feet, light drizzle at times, a strong cold wind on the top, terrain damp but not slippery. Only 2 on the fell, 4-5 on the minor roads, 2 of them runners.
10.04 miles, 3,268 feet, 2 hours 49 minutes: Loughrigg trails, including Tod Crag, Ivy Crag, and the new grassy route. Sunshine, clouds, a very strong cold wind, and a sprinkling of new snow on some of the higher tops. The wind has dried the terrain to a remarkable extent. Only saw 2 on the fell, and 5 on the minor roads.
Given yesterday's accident, I was surprised to see about 10 RAF jets fly over.
10.63 miles, 3,064 feet, 2 hours 46 minutes: Loughrigg trails, including the "DIY" club champs race from the cattle grid at the bottom of the hill near Miller bridge to the top of Loughrigg (29.58). Sunshine, clouds, a cold wind. Quite a bit of new snow overnight down to about 1,400 feet, though it was melting rapidly in the sunshine. Terrain mainly dry; no snow/ice on Loughrigg. Saw about 20 on the fell.
8.8 miles, 1,030 feet, 92 minutes: Drunken Duck loop and a bit - all on tarmac. Heavily overcast, cloud base at about 1,200 feet, constant light to moderate rain, windy at times but not cold. Roads streaming, with lots of puddles. Only saw 2 walkers and 2 cyclists throughout.
A fairly brisk walk today, about 9 miles, including some of the footpaths to the west of Beacon Hill, which are much less frequented than those on this side of the hill. They are just narrow trods, or in many places there is no discernible evidence of foot traffic over the grass; but I did actually pass two couples on these paths.
Rather windy on the hilltops, but very clear views; I wouldn't say "good views", because you can see Birmingham from Beacon Hill when it is as clear as this.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

8.52 miles, 2,799 feet, 2 hours 36 minutes: Wansfell Pike, going up from 2 sides. Heavily overcast, cloud base at about 700 feet, intermittent drizzle, a strong but not cold wind. Terrain saturated, slippery, streaming. I only came across 1 other person on the fell, though I saw 20 or so on the minor roads. No groups larger than 3.
14.03 miles, 3,597 feet, 3 hours 48 minutes: Swinescar Pike, via Clappersgate, Skelwith Bridge, Loughrigg top and Elterwater on the way there, and Lang Howe, Silver Howe, and Loughrigg top again on the return. Initially very overcast and quite cold, with the cloud base at about 500 feet, but it gradually cleared resulting in lovely sunshine - I got down to my vest. Terrain wet and slippery in places, dry in others. Quite a few walkers on Loughrigg, and lots of cyclists on the roads.
