10.2 miles, 3,324 feet, 2 hours 52 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Overcast, cloud base about 2,250 feet, drizzle on and off, mainly off, windy on top but not that cold - my waterproof top came off towards the end. Terrain anything from damp to wet to saturated and slippery. Not many on the fell, but the roads are very busy. One cuckoo heard, and a bird of prey took off just in front of me as I got to the top of Ivy Crag.

12.44 miles, 3,427 feet, 3 hours 18 minutes: Fairfield Horseshoe c/w, staying on the right hand side of the wall on the descent apart from between Hart Crag and Dove Crag. Mainly overcast with the occasional sunny spell; a few snow flakes in the air on Fairfield, though there was no snow on the ground. No significant wind, terrain mainly damp - drier than expected given all the rain there has been. Not many on the fell, though I saw 4 other fell runners. Town packed, and bumper to bumper traffic on all roads, not helped by Rothay Bridge being closed because of a water leak.

10.17 miles, 3,200 feet, 2 hours 54 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Overcast, intermittent drizzle, windy on top but not that cold - my waterproof did not stay on for long. Terrain wet/saturated/slippery. Not that many about - the forecast was pretty grim.

I saw about a dozen of the Brathay marathoners "running" their last mile or so - one when I set off - he was flying - the rest as I returned - some could barely walk. It is a tough event - lots of up/down, and often it is on narrow roads with are shared with cars.

7.6 miles, 3,206 feet, 2 hours 33 minutes: Wansfell Pike from 3 sides. Sunshine and clouds, windy at times but not cold, no rain. Terrain very wet/saturated; slippery in places. Not many on the fell. According to my watch my VO2 max is up to 45.

10.12 miles, 3,070 feet, 2 hours 50 minutes: Loughrigg trails. Sunshine, clouds, and some brief light showers, despite which I was soon in my vest. No wind to speak of. Terrain anything from barely damp to saturated and slippery. Not many about except at the top of Loughrigg. The bracken is shooting up unfortunately - I am doing my best to tread on it where possible.

9.39 miles, 3,434 feet, 2 hours 56 minutes: Wansfell Pike from 3 sides. Sunshine and clouds, no rain, no significant wind - I was OK in my vest. Terrain damp to saturated and slippery. Lots on the fell, and the roads are very busy. One cuckoo heard.

9.89 miles, 2,721 feet, 2 hours 33 minutes: Red Screes via Roundhill Farm both ways. Sunshine and clouds, no wind or rain, perfect vest weather. Terrain still quite wet and slippery in places, just damp in others. Only 6 others on the fell.

13.12 miles, 3,530 feet, 3 hours 30 minutes: Rothay Bridge - Under Loughrigg - Pelter Bridge - Scandale Beck - around the Bad Step - Low Pike - High Pike - High Bakestones - Scandale - Red Screes - Roundhill Farm. Overcast, intermittent very light drizzle, no wind - in my vest most of the time. Terrain everything from damp to wet to saturated and slippery in places. Only saw a dozen or so on the fells, but there are lots of cars about.

12.33 miles, 3,291 feet, 3 hours 24 minutes: Fairfield Horseshoe c/w. Widespread thin high cloud, so not as hot as I expected. Fine in a vest. Virtually no wind. Terrain drying up nicely. Lots on the fell and in town - roads busy.
