10k walking around Headley Golf Club high in the pennines.
Cracking views with a light breeze.
1/2 a mile from Queensbury, with views up to the Dale's.

6 miles, 540 feet, 58 minutes: Drunken Duck loop. Lovely and shady compared to yesterday. Only 4 out walking, one other runner, 2 on bikes. BBQs along Bog Lane - WTF. Having said that, it is so much nicer than most beaches.
6.6 miles, 285 feet, 60 minutes: to Brathay Church and back several times. Despite my concerns yesterday the river bank along Bog Lane looks pristine - thankfully.
12k walk around the lovely Temple Newsam golf course in good conditions on my way to scoring a fine 69 nett score.
Good will bike ride with young lad from next door. He struggles with learning difficulties and although 15 has a mental age of 8 or 9.
Did a little 10k of road loop and he has been round 3 times to say thanks and wanted to know when the next outing is.
Lovely lad. Pleased to help him.
Nice story Stagger^^^^^
I took my nephew to the park this afternoon. Told me he wants to be a Fireman and asked me if he was strong enough...
I told him if he can run up to the top of the hill without stopping he is strong enough... He managed, then ran down the other side, then wanted to run up a 2nd time but ended up crawling.
He'll make a fellrunner yet...!

7.4 miles, 620 feet, 68 minutes: Drunken Dunk loop and a bit. Nobody about - light rain throughout, but refreshing - it never ceases to amaze me how pleasant running in the rain can be - I need to relearn it every time.
Yep loved the rain and wind on todays outing. In fact I will take the current wind and rain rather than the miserable heatwave of a few days ago.
As an aside will there be a surge in melanoma cases given that a large percentage of the population has had a12 week holiday in the sun?
The older I get the Faster I was
9 miles, 1,588 feet, 1 hour 50 minutes: Coffin route to Dove Cottage, back over Loughrigg. Intermittent rain. About 20 on the route. Why do so many need to be asked to move over - and even then they barely change their line, and so reluctantly.
As to melanomas, I suspect many have gradually been building up a tan, as opposed to that sudden 2 weeks in the Med. We will see in about 10 years time, if we are still here!
6.2 miles, 479 feet, 57 minutes: around the roads of Ambleside. Light drizzle - not worth putting my waterproof on. Quiet still. This weekend will be "fun".
