Has anyone had trouble with their GPS forerunner or other Garmin whilst in Grizedale forest. I ran under the low pilons with no problem then as I left the forest the forerunner went bezerk and my milage went from 7 miles to 14.3 miles, but the best bit was my altitude gained was from 300m to 8346m all in 1h05min . not bad eh?
Any ideas?
the only electrical device I had on me was a ipod shuffle thingy.
The only other thing I can think of is the battery was not fully charged ???????

It can also happen if your memory is too full (the watch not you personally). If you don't download / delete the training history reasonably often, it can make the thing go nuts, sometimes going back wards in the middle of a run.

That could be it. I havent deleted anything since starting using it. the history on the run went mental after 6miles. When I down loaded it I was quite amazed at where it said I was running.It can also happen if your memory is too full (the watch not you personally).
