Well said GeoffB! I'm happy to talk about fell running, and agree that the wildlife thread is the best at the moment. Shame about the right wing neoliberals. They have driven away some good and interesting folk - DT for example. Could they not find a more appropriate forum to rant on.

The only extremists I observed were from the hard left, sometimes accompanied by an unhealthy dose of personal bile - most off-putting. DT wasn't one of them.

Oh yes! There was a really vigorous, challenging and illuminating discussion on what shoes to wear for the Three Peaks.

The clodhoppers used by old fell runners (e.g. see my picture) would be very good for the Three Peaks race.
