    Is it possible

That Oracle is a re-incarnation of Danger mouse, after all there is uncanny resemblance in post delivery and attitude.

Just a thought because quite frankly in the same way I had no time for Danger Mouse i have the same sentiments towards Oracle.

    Nothing personal you understand.

I like that! I'm bored and dsagree with Oracle and Witton Parks views and monopolisation of what should be a Fell Runners Forum, but can't be bothered to respond to them.

No, Danger Mouse was an entirely reasonable and civilised chap for a while, and just went off the rails at the end.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

I've been on this forum a long while now, nearly 13 years, and I would never claim to be a dyed in the wool fellrunner.
I was more of a coach of juniors than a runner.

I engage a lot in fell running topics, just not so much lately as I have been unable to maintain a level of fitness that would allow me to participate so I've mostly been doing the odd shorty around East Lancs, or slow training runs as you can see from "today's training" if you follow that thread.

Like many have pointed out, there are sections on the forum you can avoid if they don't float your boat.

I had a super 14.5 mile walk today with the wife though, much of it over the West Pennine Moors, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only other forum that I visit is Cycling UK, where the equivalent to our "Down the Pub" is called "The Tea Shop". Discussions in the Tea Shop can get a bit heated at times.

Could do with a bit of heating tonight.

Gone cold in the last couple of hours.

Life's good and too short to be falling out.

Matt. They are not monopolising the forum. Just spouting off down the pub...which most fell runners do!😂
There's plenty of pure fell running discussion in the appropriate sections

Danger Mouse shared a couple of PM's with me after his departure (mainly discussing training and running, not that i'm by any stretch an expert). not really discussing politics/brexit, which i have little interest in.

I am pretty sure they are not the same people. I'm fairly sure DM was a Calder Valley resident (to be precise, Hebden Bridge i think).

Whilst i agree personal insults shouldn't come into it, and it is a shame when it does... i generally think this is a pretty welcoming place... indeed on a couple of other forums, i have even seen challenges, to both myself and others, to meet up and 'duke it out' (at various London tube stations for example!).
