Thread: Max heart rate - whats too high.

    It was a garmin wrist watch type thing and have noticed my max actually goes above 180 quite alot. Sometimes above 190 just never really looked at heart rate before.

    Mine's the other way: my max heart rate has always been lower than it should be by using the formulae mentioned above. But then my resting HR is quite low too.

    I think there's a lot of variation from person to person.

    Be aware that wrist heart rate monitors are unreliable. They can for example catch on to your cadence, so cadence and heart rate will be much the same. I have a high cadence so when this happens it pushes my "heart rate" up to over 200.

    I think I'll ignore it all sounds like the info is a bit off at least.
