Yiannis no longer does it.... one of the Lancashire clubs always seemed to be heavily involved... can't remember if it was Bowland or CLeM.

It's been taken over by Rob Morris, who has a Liverpool Post code...
Wynn used to do entries. So arguably bowland, although she’s no longer a member.
The Marshall’s were a ragtag bunch, one of my training partners several times, ( not Bowland) who said they were short of Marshall’s last time it was run. Also a clwydian , so not really a club affair.
So most of the organisation must be new if it is still going. I assumed it died, it was too offpiste to attract interest.

Dave enough. Thank you

It was off-piste! Registration in some disused quarry car park in the middle of nowhere.
Fantastic
We marshalled for Yiannis one year. Cracking day over in Wales starting with breakfast in Bala

"It was just too far to get interest in numbers".
Too far from where, exactly?
Yes, it's a great race. Only done it once in terrible weather. Very strong winds and poor visibility. There were only around 20 starters. The front 2 shot off and ended up going off course. When we arrived at the far checkpoint on the out and back the marshal was nowhere to be seen. I don't think I ever found out where they were but the assumption was they had got lost on the way up there. It's on my list to do again anyway but I think it usually clashes with Borrowdale.
Any race where the marshals can’t find the check-points is going to be good
