Interesting. Kim's winter Round was fast enough to be on the list of all time top ten times so he's obviously feeling pretty strong. If managed carefully, Lockdown could well have aided many long distance attempts in that there's been limited chances to accumulate stress and damage.

There's a surprising number of planned attempts at double BGs as well. Surprising as in almost as many as there have been successes to date!

    Four, apparently

    1977: Boyd Millen 52:30
    1979: Roger Baumeister 46:34
    1995: Eric Draper 50:35
    2016: Nicky Spinks 45:30
    ....it's all downhill from here.

Yes, just four. Not sure how many attempts there have been, would need a trawl through the old editions of the FellRunner to figure out.

What's Kim's extra peak or is he going for a faster time?

I'm also assuming Kim and Sabrina's paths will cross at some point this evening/tonight.

He’s doing Adam Perry’s route but with Haycock and minus Fleetwith according to to what I heard. Gone straight through Wasdale

Think he must've switched up the plan as he's not doing Haycock now. Interesting as the splits suggest it was in the plan and he was about 25 minutes up on his schedule at Red Pike.

Well you have to do all the tops used by the existing record + one or more new ones or do the existing tops in a faster time. Just checking and it looks like he's skipped Haycock. I think Fleetwith Pike and High Spy are the only qualifying tops within reach of the remaining route.
