These PW records are like buses. You wait 31 years for one, and then two come along just a week apart.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

Plenty of time to have another pop at the PW record then 👍

Just do it on the way. Why cycle through the flatlands of Lancashire when you could leave the bike at Edale and run the PW between the Paddy Buckley and the Bob Graham? The only downer is that you're going back south from Kirk Yetholm to Keswick.

3 hours up on schedule and looking strong.
I like the new feature on open tracking showing you equivalent position at record pace.

Just finished in approximately 58:05. Taken more than 3 hours off the record. Amazing stuff.

Amazing indeed. Back to back 100s with another 60 miles bolted on, all at sub-24hr/100 mile pace. Did he go without a proper sleep for the whole thing? Think I read he had few 10 min naps on the hill, but don't know if he took anything longer at road stops. He seems to really like Sprite and Pot Noodles.
