Paul did chat about it but anyone know why his route drops all the way to Cockley Beck rather than the top of Wrynose Pass? No difference in distance between Grey Friar and Crinkle Crags but a lot less climbing.

I've no times from Steve Parr's run so don't know if Paul's up or down on any schedule.

Without me you'd be one place nearer the back

I saw him on top of Skiddaw this morning. Seemed to be in good spirits but obviously very early days!

Maybe the idea of climbing Little Stand after ~21h on the hill appealed?

    Hmm...

Looks like his tracker isn't updating at the mo, 5hrs since the last ping.

Good point Bob. I went via Cockley Beck which is a bit shorter in distance and somehow seems more logical when you're there. I think Steve went that way too so maybe no-one's thought of the alternative.

His tracker has come back on. About 80% of the way round now.

Cockley Beck is a bit shorter but think I'd prefer the Wrynose Pass route with easier gradients and clearer paths. Good idea Bob If only I'd read this in time I could have mentioned it to him!

Also I believe you went Lingmell Styhead Gable and dropped into Ennerdale from Haycock. Paul's route is very different.
