    Fast Women's BG incoming

According to Kim on twitter, Beth Pascall was up on BG record schedule leaving Wasdale. That was posted at 3:12.

Depending on which side of 14:30 that will be the third or fourth fastest time ever!

Well done her. I've not heard of her, what else has she done?

She did Shipley Parkrun Noel in 19-31. It’s two laps and there’s a much bigger hill than I expected when I did it

It'll be the 4th official fastest time ever (KJ, BB, RJ), though in actually the 5th as there was tat scottish bloke from COlorado who did 14:20 but mainly unsupported a few years back.

One of those runners where I know the name but not really the results, She's got a fair palmares on her: https://www.bethpascall.com/race

It seems she's taken a sabbatical from work as a paediatrician this year and was aiming at UTMB and Western states , so will have the frustration of not racing those channelled.

I think the BG club should hold a moratorium on use of the phrase 'FKT'

Just updating the splits for the ladies' summer record. Beth was faster than Jasmin on most of the tops, losing time, mostly just a minute, on just nine tops but she'd immediately claw that back and more on the next couple. Time and gains per leg were:

    Leg 1: 2:34 - 10mins
    Leg 2: 2:51 - 12mins
    Leg 3: 3:56 - 11mins
    Leg 4: 3:17 - 11mins
    Leg 5: 1:56 - 6mins

I totally agree, there is something unseemly and American about it!

There's a decent podcast where Adharand Finn interviews her, worth a listen.
